“Each team was responsible for diagnosing issues and providing solutions for a real organization using course-related concepts covered throughout the quarter,” says Assistant Professor of Teaching in Management Kyle Ingram, the instructor for the course.

Teaching assistants select the top team from of their discussion sections to compete in the final, and the winners were the Section 24 team: Stephanie Chen ’25, Delores Lopez Hernandez ’25, Grant Moreno ’25, Bennett Watson ’24, Emiliano Villegas ’25, and Theodore Yun ’24. Their teaching assistant was Samantha Ruiz ’24 MBA.

Among the guest judges was 2023-2024 School of Business Executive Fellow Tim Wiseman ’83. “Tim started the quarter with a fantastic guest lecture and kindly agreed to serve as a judge for the course finale,” says Ingram. “Before announcing the winner, Tim provided constructive feedback to all of the finalists.”

The other guest judges were previous case competition winners Carlos Diaz ’23 and Cade Rubalcaba ’24; Snigdha Ojha ’24 MBA; and School of Business Associate Director of Development Gwen Thibeaux.
