MBA Program Marketing Courses and Future Career Paths
Students in the MBA program wishing to pursue careers in marketing are advised to follow one of the two career pathways: digital marketing or marketing research. The digital marketing pathway focuses on search engine optimization, PPC marketing, marketing analytics and strategy. The marketing research career pathway focuses on industry trends, using statistics to understand the outcomes of campaigns, and the optimization of A/B testing. In addition to the marketing electives listed below, students can consider electives related to analytics, decision-making, business statistics and information systems, such as MGT 230, 256, 267, and 280. STAT 206 is useful for learning statistical computing using SAS or R.
Marketing Concentration
To earn a marketing concentration, students can choose five courses from the eight courses listed below:
